CARSON CITY, NV – Holiday with A Hero organizers are seeking sponsors and raffle prizes for the second annual Golf Tournament, which supports the scholarship program.
Proceeds from the tournament -- scheduled for June 17, 2023, at Eagle Valley Golf Course – go toward a scholarship available to Carson City School District students who have participated in the Holiday with a Hero program.
Holiday with a Hero is a Christmas shopping spree provided to students who qualify for the McKinney-Vento program that serves children living in motels, cars, campgrounds or doubling up with other families.
“This scholarship gives us the opportunity to broaden the kind of help we can these students who need it the most,” said Carson City Sheriff’s Office Assistant Sheriff Daniel Gonzales, a founder of the event. “We are grateful to the community donors that make it happen.”

The tournament will host 144 golfers in a 4-person scramble. Cost of entry includes range balls, a goodie bag for each golfer, and lunch at the course.
