Holiday with a Hero shopping day 2024 – Gift Wrap Volunteers

Volunteers from local businesses and organizations are needed to help wrap student's presents at our annual Christmas shopping spree. Due to changes to the event, signup slots for all our event volunteers are limited and preregistration is required.

Holiday with a Hero partners with the Carson City School District to determine which children qualify for our program. If you are a family in need, please talk with your child's teacher or school social workers to be sure you're receiving all the local services available to you.
Parents of selected children are not allowed to participate in the event.
Since 2005, Holiday with a Hero has paired uniformed first responders with Carson City children in need for a Christmas shopping spree at Walmart. Due to the generosity of our community, we have provided nearly $350,000 worth of services through this program.
